Looking up to the stars above
I'm all alone and so unloved
Wishing I could reach up high
And pluck just one from the sky.
I'd hold it close and never let go
There's so many who would know?
Against my heart it would glow
The darkness and despair it would overthrow.
I thought I found one I could reach
But it's heart I could not keep
To the sky forever bound
As I stay tethered to the ground.
