~Thinking of Bruce~

Topic: oops

Oh dear friend, I miss you pal.
Tonight I spent a little while
reading back over the years
for awhile it was like you were still here.

You graced this place
and brought many a smile.
Always sharing love and romance
with just your special style.

sigh.......

Across the miles we kept in touch
late night chats,
about life and such.
Shared our thoughts
and a friendship grew
a great friend,tried and true.

Depth of life and inner heart
filled up the night
touched my soul
ever so deeply.

For many a night after you were gone
the lonesome time
spent with heartsick song
and here the Halls
were crying too
what would we do
without that special you?

Yes my pal, I do miss you
but your words live on
in many hearts always true to you.
Your memory and your words
live on, live on
in my thoughts and poetic song.

One day in another place
I hope to meet you face to face
and friendship renew at a poetic place
for tonight I will reread and cherish your grace.

Yes my friend you are missed and were loved, still are,
and most of all..... you made sure we kept that little word LOVE alive and well around here!

Love ya old pal.

Hi shelby

I loved the familiar touch in this homage. I especially liked the variety in your rhyme., the way that rolls the reader forward. I definitely want to read him, after reading your poem. Great and comforting. Thanks

elle

In my best Sicilian accent:

This was very nice.

Unfortunately I don't remember him. Hopefully I will remember to check him out. Thank you, Michelle.
