Split and divide

Contributed by Boomking on Saturday, 23rd August 2014 @ 10:37:49 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

There are the masters,
behind the scenes.
Who want us,
to split and divide.

Into party-afilliations,
so we stand along the party-lines.
Rather then us being one people,
they want us to call ourselves party-members.

Who remembers the people,
when we stand along the party-lines?
Who remembers the constitution,
now that we're split and divided?

Who remembers anything else,
then bitter feuds?
Who cares for the whole people,
and the nation they live in?

Our masters brought us down,
by splitting and dividing us.
So we harass one another,
giving them free reign.

Our masters keep us occupied,
with making it trough the day.
But he you know what,
they broadcast tons of entertainment.

Just to keep us busy,
while they execute their plans.
To keep us enslaved,
just dare to say nay.

And the masters,
will make you feel the leash.
Yeah they'll give you hell,
trying to keep you under their spell!

They're happy when people bicker,
over party-affiliations.
They party,
when we loose touch.

Cuz it means they stay in power,
that's why they trow tons of money,
at the presidential campaigns.
Giving us the illusion of choice.

When in fact it's just two sides of the same coin,
and one way or the other.
They keep pulling their strings,
playing us all along.

They really done a job,
tearing us apart.
As a nation,
and as a world.

So dare we take a real stand,
and stand side by side again?
Cuz that would be the end for the masters,
after all they're just the 1 %....

absolutely...
ourselves we are
but how could we be
one bad one good
no evil ever understood
You know, I really think
even with incredible advancement
we find ourselves pulled apart

Hey boomking, your poem
is a very worthy truth
sadly never addressed
by the multitudes
--- but we know this
simply by living

Peace!

This speaks volumes of truth here.We are indeed so divided right now more so than ever I feel. As far as Im concerned, there is not even really parties per say anymore, that is their ruse so we divide one against the other. Sad sad truth here.
Well written much enjoyed

Michelle
