But this is my Road.

I'm so tired
with the world screaming in my ear.
Telling me who I am or who they think I should
Be,what I should do,and I seek the silence, the
Stillness of darkness and my own tears as I face
My own fears, and more than ever I know I'm alone.
Your voices bring me rage, I know this is my road
And I know it carries only my footprints but sometimes
I join in the pretence and the reality just gets harder.
To you I am the strength, the energy, the life the one
That just keeps walking, but I'm the one who just once
In a while wants you to share the load
But this is my road.

It may be your road but it would be nicer if you did not have to travel it alone, eh? It's beneficial to have a support system...help. Sadly, some of us don't get those benefits.
The emotion, the feelings in this poem made me feel like I was an em-path, maybe. I felt the struggle and just wanted to reach out and give a hug.
As always, poetry in action from the great Anna!
*hug*

i'm reading this as the road is each of our own lives and
not an actual road- even if you are tangibly walking on one
in your poem, i hope you show this to whoever its about, as
they need to read it...
