Thorn.
The day needles as such-
not much hope or help
for this little elf-
ear's a 'twixt and nose a 'twitch-
“Such a nice smile!”
Hold all that-
walk a mile I beg thee
in shoes twice the size
needed-
(by me)
they never fit no matter how many times
you cram them on unwilling feet-
these shoes not meant for less
ambitious feet.
I stray to me again-
Prey I leave ego in the bin where
it belongs-
secure not hiding- just not required
to trot out in sun for glimpses-
after all, I'm really the only one to care-
If I had no ego and it fell in the forest-
would anyone-
no I guess not.
Take all away and ego's all I got.
