When A Heart Is Broken

When A Heart Is Broken
by Fred M. Lassonde

For days and nights now I have wept

Sunshine or shadow does not matter

I gave my heart but it was not kept

Instead, like my mind, It was glass to shatter

Now as I sit here hurt and feeling blue

Even though I try I cannot forget you

Sure by now I am not even a memory

Yet, with a broken heart, I live this story

Nothing now will make the pain go away

I continue to exist broken day after day

With a heart, mind and soul that loves you

I go on knowing you will just do as you do

They say pride comes before a fall

Yet I wish you no hurt, no harm at all

Pray for you each and every day

For your well being, blessings in every way

Will end this now as my heart hurts so

My fingers move along these keys they do

typing this poem with hope you will know

No matter what I will always Love you!

I can really feel your emotions. I think it's safe to say we all go thru this type of heartache. As what I would say to myself 'If things are really meant to be, it will happen for both of you. If not, then definitely keep the Memory someplace Special..." Just give it time...
