Crammed into my little corner of the world
I watch a butterfly roam
Wings dipped in gold she effortlessly glides
She lands upon a rose
A beauty holding a masterpiece
Gracefully perched upon the crimson red flower
Melting gently into the scent of the bud
Fluttering slightly to cover her wings with pollen
Graciously giving as much as she takes
So who are we to catch her in a net?
To crush her fragile wings
To brave the skies is where she belongs
So I can view her from my corner of the world...

right with you on this one me dear. I love butterflies. They love my buddlei bush and I have to stand guard for them against the packs of birds waiting to gobble them up. They lives are so short too.
Lovely write. |
