Change You

I realized today that I can’t change your…
Mold your…
Dream for your…
Torches lit in the darkness guiding a clear paved path.
I can’t change your…
I can’t promise your…
Hoping that you see that I had nothing to do with your past.
I can’t be…
I can’t sell myself…
Waiting for you to come around and decide that you want…
I cant continue to be your…
I’ll try to win your…
But if that fortress that surrounds your heart stops my progress.
How am I supposed to…
How will I continue to show you…
Together is the only way this will work.
But, I can’t be a part of your…
Waiting for you…to decide.
But I know now I can never…change you.

I can truly relate to this lovely poem. It's so hard to let go of that one you love yet is missing that one thing. Like a cake mix without eggs--it won't rise and amount to anything, sadly. Take care, may love find its way back to you, and God bless,

Absolutely love the way this reads. Excellent indeed.
I rarely give unsolicited advice but I'm making an exception.
One should never try to change the other in a relationship or expect change. If this is a real situation, take heed.
Just my thirty five cents (inflation ya' know).
