I Wanna Give Up!

Contributed by Blackheart on Wednesday, 30th July 2014 @ 09:01:24 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I promise you...
That I can without second thought swear to God,
That I am the most slept on and undervalued person,
In the history of the written art...
To ever use a writing utensil to speak...
Even God Herself possibly sleeps on me.
I've been taking this writing seriously for 2 years now.
I've struggled so much,
I used to get so sad at times
I became the thin line between committing suicide,
And sellling my soul
I used to fall asleep trying to write something sufficient enough,
And do so much thinking,
I get extremely depressed and frustrated and fall asleep from such feelings,
Hoping I'd die from a nightmare...
I was so jealous of other poets I know,
Dying to know their secret to being indescribably excellent with poetry
And tore myself apart for not being able to keep up...
I swear to God,
NOT EVEN GOD KNOWSMY FRUSTRATION!!

ever hear the saying, 'utilize! -don't analyze!' that means
in this case 'don't compare- identify!' ...try to find what you
like in the things poets write that you identify with, utilize
the style, flow, rhyme, imagery, topic ect., to suit yourself::
light a candle for inspiration, read famous poems, -and::
relaxxxxxxx! you are always improving, you may not see
it tho i do:)

hugs n' love nessa

"Even God Herself possibly sleeps on me."

One of the most gorgeous lines of poetry I've ever laid eyes on.

We are all growing and learning, always in a school for the rest of our lives. Poetry is wonderful as it expresses our individuality. We can always learn from others but we must make our poetry our own. Never give up.

One thing I know is true, that god hears your voice, knows your voice and understands your voice. How she answers is more up to how you listen.

God understands your voice. She is your voice and you are speaking for her. You are like the valley where all the rivers flow yet you are not filled up.

You may not think God knows but he does know everything you go through and one thing is that he will always be there for you no matter what. The tables may turn but you can't let that get you down,God is our savior and will always be there.Even when you don't think he is working he is working for you in ways that you don't know.Sometimes what you have to do is just calm your thoughts and let your mind go free.Just start writing anything like random words and you'd be surprised about what would come out and spark your mind to write.I've felt like this before I stopped writing for a while because I felt so discouraged and didn't know what to do,but one of my coworkers that is a therapist made me a journal and I hold that book so close to my heart and myself.Sometimes it might help to create something that you know that is yours and you're set from there.Never let anybody or anything dictate who you are especially as a writer.Keep up the great work...God Bless!
