So begins the genius-
Mendelssohn, piano art
as soft as the first blush
of a young day-
Life lived bright across the sky of our mind,
now in descent-
achingly exquisite to the taste and colour
of that blushing orb of this 'morn,
now, in that dying sigh,
just shy of night,
sweetest magic of orange, yellow, red
blend to views even the forever blind imagine,
if colour they could see-
his ivory keys do they paint and evoke,
summon and allow us to swim inside,
to soak in the piece of art, Songs Without Words.
