It was snowing in December
But I had to get you home
Before the ice stole the stone
On a narrow valley road
And your folks would be worried
If I forgot that you were loved
By more than just a boy
It was snowing in December
Now ten years I drive alone
Sometimes I take that valley road
And pretend I'm going to your folks
I know your not there now
But to me you are waiting at the window
And I'm almost there

It is peaceful and lovely yet hinted with a touch of blue, a Decembers chill.Nicely written.
