Relationships and Religion - weights to cast away

Contributed by codeofcohen on Wednesday, 23rd July 2014 @ 08:12:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

She slips away like hours
Between your fingers crossed
She will drift forever outwards
And you will consider all hope lost

O but your fist will close
Upon its vaguest scent
And your mind will rack itself
For sins due a repent

Forgive yourself, O sad one
Dont let your will be bent
For you sought to evict the numbness
Some perseverence will bring relent

He slips away like fiction
Between the prayer said
And he will fall forever downwards
To bless the ocean bed

O but the waves will change his course unto "amen"
And the prayer will be answered
Neglecting how or when

Forgive him upon his payment
For once you collect the debt
He might serve you more faithfully
Not like before
Not now
Not yet
