there are many miles between us, and there are mountains
i am afraid, but i miss you, and i love you
i long for the days when i drank of your sweet fountains
enriching my soul, while cleansing it too
i would walk barefoot, far into the thickets
crawl through broken glass on both hands and knees
to get back to our summers with the fireflies, and the crickets
and our strolls amongst the flowers and the bees
i wish to place a newborn daisy in your hair
pull you close, and onto your lips deliver a kiss
set my eyes deeply upon yours, in a stare
dear god in heaven! i do dream so for this
i miss you my love, and it causes much pain
it is as if my very heart has been broken
i miss darkened days, on the bench, in the rain
where whispered words of promise were softly spoken
i will conquer all of my obstacles to get to your side
i will give solution to any problem in my way
i desire for us, at least one more ride
this time will come, and glorious will be that day...
