I loved a man with a heart of gold,
I loved a man who was strength and bold,
I loved a man who put me first,
I loved a man, who quenched my thirst.
I loved a man who was beauty and lust,
I loved this man he held my trust,
I loved a man so gentle and kind,
I loved this man I wished he was mine,
I loved this man, he was full of smiles,
I loved this man he walked the miles.
I loved this man, I could watch him sleep......This man is gone for him I weep.
I love this man , through thick and thin, I love this man he is my wind.
I love this man for his gentle stroke, I love this man he never broke.
I love this man to the moon and back, I love this man...please bring him back.

It's great when you can find someone you can trust. Very nice. Good piece of poetry.

Good work.

So here's some observations. You've posted four poems but yet to read or comment on anyone else's writings.

YPDC is a great place. 99% of the poems are accepted in the general exhibition section. Yes, it is a great place. Part of what it makes it a great place is that people come on here and actually read poems and, like me, we also comment on them. We use our time not only to post but to read and comment. It would be a very sad and boring place if we were like you and just came on here to post poems and then leave. Imagine that. We only knew how to write poems and not how to read them. What would be the point? Post and, poof, gone. I could post fifty in one day because I am a premium member...pushing everyone's poems down the page...oh, wait, there is no one else...only me. Would be sad if all of us only wrote and never even acknowledged the other poets here.

Do you see my point? What's the point of writing and sharing if no one reads? Sorta seems silly, does it not?

Take care,

Tim

Odd how one person can make such an impact in our life. You have explained it very well here.
Would you kindly take a moment to read and comment on another poets writing? It will mean as much to them as it does to you…and your words may be just what they need to hear!
You will never know if what you say has the same impact on their life as this man had on yours. Pass his gift along…he would have liked that you did, in his memory.

I love how this poem is like, yet again for me, another reminder of the kind of guy I wish so bad a woman would give me the chance to be to them...excellent poem.

I like the flow of this poem. Interesting note at the top too. What is that about?
