Maybe that Robin alight on a limb
so close to me, his chipped beak (to tough a seed?)
has all the answers I seek yon that slim pane of glass-
Aha! I perceive, it's coming to me;
Is it so? An answer this be?
“Ask no questions at all!”, came interpreted tweet.
Oh, that feathered free thing,
chirping it seems so certain to me,
devoid of anxiety, utterly free.
A ring to his trill only he knows but still
perhaps all these questions are weighing to great,
fostering ill, these bogging bushels of query,
these bales of
stale thoughts, wagons of stone...
A lesson might I snatch from his song?
What I don't know...(a question again?)
My feathered friend chirped “Leave it alone!”
Unbidden unasked to his fading song,
(Rest! Damn mind!), but one question last-
is this line of winged thinking....is it all wrong?

I love the Elizabethan style of your query. What indeed could we fathom from the sounds of nature and her creatures? You have invited us to listen; but more, to hear and interpret! There is wisdom in the land, archives traced in the knarls of the trees; but we cannot decipher! Pity our naive senses, who speculate with you! Thank you for once again setting the table with a delightful feast of humor, irony, and endless possibilities that tempt us to explore beyond our ken! "The ring to his trill only he knows, but still"..and we are off on a merry chase! Absolutely splendid--evermore!

I literally think of this as literal expression
Ah, the birds who fly free,
why just this very day a morning dove
I often see and admire was sitting on my gate
and I caught it through the pane of glass
that was a window, which I then carefully
slid open, but only to let in the cool air ---
It stayed, perhaps I thought only to say, it's okay I've been watching you too... later on coming from my yard
it was still there, and I slowly walked upon
it, feeling as though it truly was
there for me.
Birds are beauty, robin, morning dove
Ah, but when I got close it quickly flew
so beautiful a creature I said ado
I hope to see you again very soon.
Dear Invierno, I've always thought highly of birds as you.
This poem shares some individual sort of wish to communicate with a being that flies
perhaps one we might feel who knows
something about us we don't.
This is a damn good poem my friend!
Thanks for sharing!
Peace! |
