As I wonder weak and weiry
in this dream like query
and to hold this theory
that you might not hear me,
for the fear that binds me
is that you never will lay near me.
Put a bullet in my brain
if my love is in vain to end my pain,
so that I'm never in this game
that Cupid has designed
to destroy all that remains of my
desire to live this life of mine.

Ah, the frustrations of love unreturned. Cupid the masochist (quote the raven!)
