Perceptions distorted,
Warnings avoided,
Our eyes are mislead,
When a roof is over our head,
But as the ignorance fades,
Our knowledge wades,
As the candle is lit,
The darkness omits,
Feelings of fear,
Seem to be clear,
And the threat of the unknown,
Is finally shown.

Short but I luv it when a writer can say much with little words.
Welcome home.

This compact verse begs the question - would you rather see the light, or live in sheltered ignorance?
By the time we understand the difference, is it too late to go back?
I so enjoyed this! Welcome back!

I like this, friend. It will take me a few more reads to plunder the core, but it'll be worth the time. I will look at some of your other poems. I've seen you comment on mind, and I thank you for that.
