Who are you to me?

Contributed by northernlights on Friday, 11th July 2014 @ 02:24:30 AM in AEST
Topic: ThankYouPoems

Life seeps through the pores of my skin and saturates

My mind, chemistry bubbles in sustaining cycles and I

Do what I need to do,what I have to do.

Creativity in dormancy plays the waiting game till flesh

Cannot contain nor hold, and I am compelled as words

Become the feral expression in unrecognised sterility.

In a world of instant communication with the soul on bypass

My toes allowed the balm of accepting waters, and years of

Expression, pages for my voice, freedom for who I am,

And I can return always to YPDC.

Yes, and please continue to return.... PLEASE!!! And thank you .

Wait, I just got a text message...hmmm..hmm..hmm..hmmm... ;-) just kidding but it really struck me and made me think about the mindless blobs with their noses in their phones at work when I read the line about instant communication with the soul on bypass.

We love you too, Anna. ♥

Tim

Northernlights - this is so expressive and says so much about ones soul... and what words can do.

"Who are you to me?" is an absolutely brilliant title to this well written poem.

Peace!

We're so glad that you DO come back to YPDC!
I have so many favorite turns of phrase here:
"words become the feral expression".."with the soul on bypass"…and most of all "pages for my voice"!
Food for the soul of every aspiring writer.
It is WE who are thankful, northern lights!

What a great dissection of our human condition. So very well done!

Didn't know you were gone, being a newbie here myself. But, that said, I am glad to be able to read your words.

Thanks,

Invierno
