I've fed the wolf

I’ve fed the wolf, i’ve tasted both the sweet and sour,
I’ve symbolically killed myself, it was my finest hour,
Each scar on my body, a work of art,
Expressing my sorry, broken heart,
And if i could i would, save myself and my own,
Show compassion and love, as you sit on your throne,
Look after yourself and those you love, throw the underdog a bone,
Feeling pain and sorrow, leave me alone,
I’ve loved and i’ve lost,
Paid the price and it cost,
Played the game just for fun,
Symbolically dead,
My new life has begun!

until stock is taken in the aftermath and ruins...
