Boy Afraid

Contributed by Houseofleaves on Sunday, 6th July 2014 @ 01:44:37 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

There are things that should stay buried
And one them is me
You were the sun and I the shadow
That was pulled toward your being
From your look to your manner
I imitate without a flaw
From your friends to your family
I fawn over them all night

Our fate is tangled up
In the webs of my design
It's never an accident
When your eyes softly meet mine
Our love is quiet without end
My love is a cell
That will lock you in forever

indeed, beauty
no objectifying
from the simple title
to all the light let in
locked in forever
within a cell, free
the meaning
of prisons prism
on a single soul
I do not suppose a lot
here

this is so well done
you take it slowly
almost fearlessly
emitting truth.

Peace!

beautifully flowing and lovingly sweet, yet- the last two lines
throw me- seem possessive; and love will not be possessed,
...of course it is natural to feel we want the loved one enclosed
in our arms and kisses, safely tucked away so the world will not
'take' them away:: tho it is not the way of lasting love, which gives
only of itself asking for nothing in return,

hugs n' love nessa
