Who is Destiny?

Contributed by Geneva1223 on Wednesday, 2nd July 2014 @ 07:45:34 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

As cool as i may seem i can't help but to think about destiny
is it a he or she, is it a time or place, is it black or white,
is it the end of misery. Can it be destiny make us believe it is a time
where we find ourselves or figure out our place in the world.
Can destiny be our ruins if we obsess, over-think, and rethink our decisions
to live up to it's expectations? Could it be destiny is a destination
of hard work and determination to lead some of us
to success and others nowhere? Can our lives have already been written or
have destiny just became a word to take up space in another page of a book
with meaning and no value. Can i, me, myself take control of the word destiny
and shape and mold it to my present no longer having it thought of in the future.
Can destiny be whatever i make it as long as i think positive and keep looking forward.
Can destiny be an alarm clock ticking counting down to some
big day in my life to see who i am or supposed to be?
Is destiny in the eyes of the beholder looking down on me hoping i find a clue.
Is destiny a path to somewhere and if you leave the path your lost physically and mentally.
Is destiny hard and rough but smooth around the edges.
Can destiny go beyond death and live longer than we expected.
So who is destiny?
Destiny could be all that i said in one It's the thing that stand in the middle
of who we are and who we going to be in life but the question is
are we okay with placing our lives in someones else hands.

this is so thought provoking, i know what destiny is yet now still i must delve deeper, ...if
i started answering every line you questioned my comment will become an essay lol, destiny
is a lot of the things you mention and not at all some, it is karma, a pre-destination, it can
happen in life but also after death, whether you have a hand in it or choose not to- it is written
in the stars, destiny is an inevitability, it is not free will, it is normally thought of as a future state
yet it can and does play out in the now, ...i will hush now, needless to say this is a very beautiful
topic penned by you in the best possible beautifully written way,

hugs n' love nessa

Hi, a fine free flowing piece you have written here. Destiny, what Is It? Who Is It? One and the same question really. You do give a lot of well thought out answers on this question. I gave up long ago on this question. I used to ask myself the same auestion and when I thought I had the answer It only actually led to another question, and on, and on, I finally gave up my quest for an answer. Destiny shall place me on a path and I shall follow that path. I did enjoy the delve Into your thought processes. I enjoyed the read this wednesday evening. Have a good day....MIKE.
