LoveRemembered

I'll wait for you on the top of the hill,
Where freedom breathes the skies.
I'll wait for you with every breath,
Till death my life despise.
I'll turn my face once more to feel,
Your whisper on my brow.
And know that you and I will know,
The past, the here,the now.
For every soft green meadow trod,
And every waiting stile.
Turn again and turn I must, to see
Your endless smile.
And I will find you once again, in
The shade of an acorn tree.
Where nature knows where we
Belong,in loves eternity.

This is amazingly beautiful! I love the poem - its flow, its imagery, its delicate and personal emotions and the rhyme, which works so well in the poem! |

This is so stunningly beautiful it hardly sounds like a "love remembered" poem.
"In the wind he's still alive".
The writer will one day catch that wind.
Yes, stunningly beautiful masterpiece! That'sa whatta I said. :) |

so beautifully penned, it seems as if the love was lost
by death, the way you see him in acorn trees and
waiting with every breath... absolutely so lovely,
brought a tear to my eye...
hugs n' love nessa

Hi Anna,
Beautiful rhythmic flow - not forced, not
exaggerated - its mood reminds me of Victorian
love style and though the word 'Victorian'
conjures up the past, or dated, this genre of
poetry will never die and will always be
welcomed in poetry circles across the globe.
Something to think about ........ most of the
poetry lines that you hear quoted today, are
from that era in time.
