Foolishness of Jehovah
exceeds the wisdom of Mankind;
torture by crucifixion
was to serve as a deterrent
to stop all forms of crime.
Inhumane treatment
demonstrates insatiable blood thirst
in a vain attempt to bring out
the best character of man
by placing World's justice system first.
However, death of the Innocent Lamb,
a perfect sacrifice God did decree
to bridge the gap of sin
using Man's worst punishment
in a twist of spiritual irony.

I'd rather not, thank you. YPDC is a great place. Part of what it makes it a great place is that people come on here and actually read poems and, like me, we also comment on them. We take our time out to post and read and comment. It would be a very sad and boring place if we were like you and just came on here to post poems and then leave. Imagine that. We only knew how to write poems and not how to read them. What would be the point? Post our max a day and, poof, gone. I could post fifty in one day because I am a premium member...pushing everyone's poems down the page...oh, wait, there is no one else...only me. Would be sad.
Don't mean to come off mean, but do you see my point? What's the point of writing and sharing if no one reads?
Take care,
Tim |

I think you hit on the truth here which is
often missed and hides within itself
The point of sacrifice and Jesus, they say
Our Lord, even pray as if they understood
what becomes only a blind partisanship
a religion ... irony, fallacy
bible, holy grail
Where to go when the cup runneth over
why don't we know
This is a very insightful poem.
good stuff!
Peace! |
