Human nature

Topic: didactic

The path of human nature
is total, unforgiving war.
Nature in the sense we destroy
assimilate your enemies and punish them,
even more , with time, even more.

All our issues are solved
by apparent primeval actions.
Bombing & crying encompasses
the ambience being annihilated .
Billions, suffering by the thoughts
and planning of a billions
nominal fraction.

They call it a crusade against evil,
Them to us, us to them-evil.
We all say we are freedom fighters
Fighting for peace,
But our doings, by killing, and theirs are evil.

Tell those affected , what we do
is for their own good.
I'm sure if any of us lost
Thier wife, child, husband family or friend
we'd hate whatever, or wherever
and with as much passion as we possibly
could.

Do we learn anything from history?
I wonder if anyone remembers the 3rd reich.
The minds of those affected in WW1
were left nullfied, weak, fickle -perfect
For malice, an understatement
to germinate and reach new horrific heights.

What about the atrocities of Joesph Stalin?
40 millions killed, millions oppressed.
People wonder why we hated
communism in spite
of its noble intensions.
We hate what we don't understand.
Haven't you guessed.

And in all fairness in all contradiction
There are those that hate war.
They condemn it, and its purposes
and try to "civily disobey" but in essence
they still hate, and that doesnt make them ANY better does it?
The natures of our past-sigh-
are projected in our future, and we may try
to change our attitudes of war
But we still give in to our nature true core.

TSK , TSK , TSK we are children
fighting over trivial toys
or rabid dogs fighting over DEAD
lifeless bones.
Bones that sadly DEAD.
So why fight, why leave mothers
in sickening agony
by fighting at the expense of flesh
and bone.
WHY? WHY steal the lives of men
who in a mothers eyes are still boys.

The higher ups can never see it.
They don’t fight in the scarlet battles
They don’t fight at all, they are cowards.
Sending others to their deaths
Sending millions to the slaughter house
They are quick to judge, but slow to act
And pretend they are the masters of mindless cattle.
But we are not.
If they are so fearless, why don’t they pick up a gun
And risk their lives
Instead of making everyone else die,
Instead of making millions cry
They don’t see it, they have never fought
Their own battles. I guess in war,
we are kings and pawns but human alike.
And millions die at someone else’s like.

Boom, bang, zip, clang
We go to war with what we dont understand
We fight over issues that arent about morality
but issues that are ultimately needless.
I do wish for world peace, i know
I'll never see it, not as long as countries
fight--fight over lands, we dont take when we die, or the accuracy of their religion, or
the economy, or failed diplomacy, something
that doesnt seem to work anyway.
I hope to see hate end, and Al -Qaeda
and the KKK disappear into air
i wish, they would stop and try
to feel what we feel but
i know they wont.
I hope that the illusion of people
in a huge circle is actually acheived.
One day, everyone, in peace
Holding hands.

In this world, however
if u listen closely you can hear
a ghostly roar
Taunting us of our past , daring us
to repeat it.
We dont even know it, but we are
at war within ourselves.
In our heads, we make choices between
opposing forces.
Alas we are led to something inevitable
and in this vicious cycle
of violence, whether its inner, or outer
to attain peace, i know
its true, as open as a door
that the only human nature
is total self destructive war

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
