Simple Thoughts From a Complex Mind

Contributed by tundrahydra on Tuesday, 17th June 2014 @ 09:34:54 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Sit back for a moment and take a ride with me
Through this life of wonder and fantasy
Turn the page as the story goes on
Listen to the melody as I sing this song

Ups and downs, happy and sad
Look for the silver lining cause its not all bad
Don't let life get your goat
Stop complaining about the rain and put on a coat

Let your mind relax to the beat of the drops
Failing from above onto metal rooftops
Peaceful tunes played out by nature herself
Appreciate the small joys, don't put them up on a shelf

I may be a little insane
But even I can see the pleasure in the mundane
So smile for no reason
And experience the seasons

We're all just a lost cause wandering around
Take a second to lift your head off the ground
Flit up in the clouds, waste some time
Soon you'll see it's all going to be fine

Flip the script on life and be at ease
Stop praying for help while down on your knees
Reach out and grab the things you wish for so
With love and dedication, your dreams will grow
