Well it is that time of year and the gardens are in but I was looking for inspriation to write a poem about that and realized I diod not wish to encounter any critters so I will go with old poem again! :) Laughed In Stitches Till I Got Bumble Bee Britches

Laughed In Stitches Till I Got Bumble Bee Britches by Fred Monte Lassonde

As I was while walking through the garden one day

Just a smiling, singing and whistling all the way

Came across some large excited Bumble Bees

saw them close by with their Hive in the Lilac trees

Very happy was I to see these Bees yellow and black

Kept on a whistling as I enjoyed the fact that they were back

Just kept on whistling and walking along as I sized up my garden

As I strolled along swatted at a Bee and begged its pardon

It did seem quite funny and so I laughed in stitches

But not for long as I got Bumble Bee Britches!

lol...that was funny.

photo 1036153111_gif.gif to YPDC. It is a great place. Part of what it makes it a great place is that people come on here and actually read poems and, like me, we also comment on them. We take our time out to post and read and comment. It would be a very sad and boring place if we were like you and just came on here to post poems and then leave. Imagine that. We only knew how to write poems and not how to read them. What would be the point? Post our max a day and, poof, gone. I could post fifty in one day because I am a premium member...pushing everyone's poems down the page...oh, wait, there is no one else...only me. Would be sad.

Don't mean to come off mean, but do you see my point? What's the point of writing and sharing if no one reads?

Take care,

Tim

what odd thing got in the way of the magical bee's undertaking, so stung that hide that sings...
Really good imagery, yeah, bee's are critical
to the pollination of your garden, underpaid, sometimes under-appreciated and so brilliant. I don't understand, you begged the bee's pardon after you swatted at them, didn't they hear... lol
I stepped in a hive once, it was in a hollow and I was trying to fetch my dog who used to meet me each day at school for the walk home.
They went up my pant legs and boy did I run!
Friend of mine, a veterinarian, also runs an apiary. Glad I'm not allergic to their sting.
Very rich writing!
Peace!
