Jagged cross lines across my wrists
this is how I would untwist
with inner demons forming a home inside my head
I give them what they wish, crimson stain red
never too deep
just enough to make the demons sleep
crimson stain red
wasn’t enough for the demons in my head
everything turned to black
just waiting for me to crack
sallow the pills
it’ll kill
this is it
no more of this filthy pit
I’m taking back my life
and that begins tonight
jagged lines across my wrists were here way too long
but now across my wrists is stay strong
all that’s left to do is tell the inner demons to shoo
and that’s exactly what I’m going to do
goodbye knife
hello life

first of all warm welcome to ypdc, in your poem you
confront a serious matter, the end was beautifully
optimistic, keep writing!

I love the way you tell the story of conquering such a giant demon. "goodbye knife, Hello life" just those four words gave the end such a giant impact of hope. great write. keep em coming. |

Love the ending.
There is a strength that flows inside
Beyond the broken hearts and lies
A love more pure. Enormous. Devine.
We long to feel loves sweet embrace.
