A dip into waters...
posters all are we-
varying reasons-
this laying bare of personality.
Would you share with your co-worker
these feelings opened here?
Cracking back in comfort akin to
the tab-snap of cold beer?
Friends 'round your fishing pole,
new lure to admire?
How many of them now
would sit in comfort as you mire
on
about love and death and life and loss,
joy and smiles and freedom's toss,
of coins of loins of letting go?
How many of them really KNOW?
The real YOU.
So FEW, I'll toss out on the air..
1 for ten know your depth..
1 for hundredth bare percept...
poor you thank goodness....
you are here...we hear...we care
in this venue.

Very nice post. Loved it. Yes, it does describe many here, and many that use to be. Maybe a new feel in here again.
Thanks,
brew~ |

How very true! YPDC is a forum for feelings; acceptance as we are; absent of the visual and straight to the heart.
I can hear the "tab-snap of cold beer" and what a picture it paints of the unfettered reveal that welcomes us to speak our minds.
Three cheers for all who take the time to read and encourage others here, where all are welcome, and we can enjoy dancing to our own music. Some day this place will only be a memory..but for now…once more around the dance floor!

Very well done. You are so right, we rarely share such depths of our feeling to those around us. Yet, we are more than open with faceless strangers. |

This has certainly made me think.
I would agree that so few people around you know the real you, perhaps they feel they do or is that merely what we allow them to believe?.
I have often said to people that there are more sides to me than is apparent. I guess those who choose to read catch more than a glimpse.
