~*:pages of time

Contributed by ladyfawn on Saturday, 31st May 2014 @ 04:46:54 AM in AEST
Topic: poets

my favorite place to be at nightly
at my desk candle burning brightly
happily raiding everyone's poetry
you all make my heart sooo happy
in the dark the rhymes they come
muse now well fed begins to hum
so now is spring the forest grows
tomorrow summer don't ya know

i wanted to be here it is most true
those four years away alone n' blue
almost lost my life i never did roam
by design ypdc you're ever my home
safe here again as whippoorwill sings
beauty of forest sweet joy it brings
except for bear who comes for mail
rubbing butt on fences wagging tail

i wish everyone well w/ many smiles
know as poets you're all worthwhile
n' never lay down your golden pens
i love you xoxoxo all you are my zen
so again seasons have true meaning
can't express easily what i'm feeling
your kindness n' love touch my soul
you have healed a lonely poet whole

Cool beans!

Love this line, "except for bear who comes for mail
rubbing butt on fences wagging tail" Very image evocative.

Yes, I have to confess, this site has become a cornerstone of my day. It's a wonderful way to push my efforts to arrange words, read the sharing's of like-minded souls and (forgive me) get an EARNED ego boost for free, as well as boost others by my pen (or tap).

great little ditty....diggit diggit diggit

Best,

Invierno

What lovely images you call into my mind..You write with a paintbrush! Utterly, my favorite line is last; the summation of your thoughts: "You have healed a lonely poet whole." I wanted to stand up and cheer for you! Welcome back, it is our mighty fortune to have both your artistry and your company to enjoy!

Dearest Nessa,
Once again, you have allowed a glimpse into your beautiful soul. The imagery is so vivid and the feelings expressive.
If I may be so bold, I would like to give you a rose. If you were wondering, a comment made to In this corner, was one of the reasons and impetus for Only a rose. You have inspired much, dear lady! So very much...
Enjoy the forest in all her splendid glory as the mother we call nature is so much better at art than I ever hope to be...
Many hugs and thanks,
Michael

there is a piece of peace here
reflections of real thought,
A place where I find something
worth reading always

Thank you Ladyfawn!

Peace!

Your respect and affection for ypdc and its members are palpable. Your poem is penned with passion and warmth, and I'm sure your feelings are reciprocated by all who read you.
I like the fact that you write by candlelight, I do too. It's comforting and inspirational, isn't it?
My best wishes to you.

You expressed your feelings very articularly. You create quite the vivid image of yourself, and your home.

I just hope the bear doesn't come for the mailman, haha.

Aw, Nessa. You are such a beautiful, and loving soul. I can relate to this so well, and you are such a bright spot here, on ypdc. You make us all feel incredibly welcome and important. Your poetry is always open and honest, and brimming with optimism. You always choose to make a conscious effort to find the light, and the good, even in the midst of despair.
It is an admirable quality, and I love that about you.

Keep spreading your sunshine, and always feel the love of your ypdc family.
