The Sooner or Later Bride

Contributed by norm on Tuesday, 20th May 2003 @ 03:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Are you going to marry the girl that you love,
Or, are you going to practice deceit?
If you're going to marry
the girl that you love?
I'll say to you, "Man, that is sweet"

If you decide..to give her a ride,
To see what makes her tick, tick,
You're a boob, you're bad,
You're a boor and a cad
And some other names I could pick.

If you do it once, you will do it again
It'll seem like a wonderful game,
You'll keep on the go
and no girl will know
if you, she'll be able to tame.

As the years go by, don't be surprised,
that one day, you'll find no more players,
When that day begins,
There'll be only chagrins,
And plenty of 'thanks but no' sayers.

The funny thing is, if you're lucky at love
and you make a girl late be your bride,
I'm a son of a gun,
she'll be just like the one,
Who before, you had given a ride.
