Suicide Gets a Bad Rap II

Contributed by JackM on Thursday, 22nd May 2014 @ 12:07:57 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

It’s always the same kind of drivel,
Always such a tragedy, so they quibble,
There was certainly a solution,
As they apply to your torment, its long overdue dilution,
If these be the facts, please explain for me,
Why do we tolerate anyone’s misery?
Just apply the solution I say,
You know, the one that would’ve kept my bullet at bay,
Ya, I know, you’re full of crap,
It’s just too fashionable to administer the rap,
What about the loved ones? They argue,
Full of that much selfishness, are you?
It’s said they cry so, because they care,
But when your tears overflowed, they thought that be just and fair,
They all be happy, so it seem,
As long as you saw one more sunny beam,
As for your terror and torture, for them, this was just fine and ok,
Just stop doing it, and please start today,
These be my words, so please heed’em,
Just STFU, when one of us chooses freedom,
As for those who will cry, when we’ve gone on our way,
Just stop doing it, and please start today.

Why do we tolerate anyone’s misery?/Just
apply the solution I say,
well, that would
be euthanasia; and if that were allowed
extreme cases would be murders which are
certainly unacceptable, ~perhaps the loved
ones
tried to help/save someone and
were at a loss how to do so; indeed when
someone plans their death they usually do
not broadcast it so to call those who love the
lost one selfish is selfish in itself, and of
course people will cry, not all who cry are
heartless and just crying for their own
reasons, it is possible the lost one was truly
deeply loved, ...anyway i've been there several
times, got the t-shirt and lived to write about it,
i really love your poetry and clever wit, this one
no exception,

hugs n' love nessa

Not so easy for those left, amigo. I've been in your frame of mind on this very topic. Are you loved? Do you love? So much angst and frankly, an uncompromising position you've adopted. It's to bad.... I'm no counsellor, but I Do know you need to examine the root of WHY you wrote this. I toy with the idea...roll it around, but ultimately, we are trapped here, because of our love, both for and being. In some ways, I’ve actually resented that tie to me. Life is flippin' hard and these tethers can be a drag. But then...what is on the other side? Leaving hell and associated b.s. out of it...it surely cannot be a positive thing to destroy the vessel holding our soul. If there is anyone/thing that needs answered to, I don't want to have to justify my own murder. Apply for happiness....the job is always open and the application requires only a flip of your mental switch. Do it.
