Remember those nights when we drove
until we ran out of gas
the city lights would lead us home
Home, is what we called
eachother as we drank and we laughed
sometimes it scares me
that it ain't coming back
The city lights fade
Remember the nights at the beach
bonfires light illuminating memories
of those that haven't happened yet
Set fire to the things that have changed
18 forever singalongs take main stage
sometimes it scares me
that it ain't coming back
the city lights fade
no we drink to forget
broken hearts, by ourselves at sunset
over emotional from tv shows
and only talking through text
it gets me torn up inside
to think of the kids we left behind
so naive, ready for a change
the city lights fade

Yes. Times they are a changing. Many of us are already longing for those simpler times of yesteryear. I suspect eventually this new generation of techy kids will too.
Good job with this poem.
