The Truth Hurts

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Tuesday, 20th May 2014 @ 01:46:43 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Do you fall into place so eagerly
Just to watch, hopes dashed, once more?
It resembles complacency,
but it bears the Joker's grin- alive with sin
No beginning, no end, just more.
Always more; never ending,
predictable-
Pain.
Confusion.
LIES.
Why?
An answer I must seek,
almost a perverse need
Don't speak-
The secrets you keep, dare never be freed.

if there's one thing i cannot abide; its a liar!
especially one that wrecks havoc with
someone's life! and they never do shut up so
they? there is nothing worse than betrayal; you
have exposed the person by calling them on
what they are in this heartfelt poem, this is a
powerful punch in a neat tidy package! keep
writing my friend! blessings,

hugs n' love nessa

What images you conjure! "The Joker's grin - alive with sin!" I know not your enemy here, but to realize that the secrets "dare never be freed" is enough to make me stop asking!! Your ending froze me in my tracks.
It was a warning-- heed, or suffer the consequences!
Spooky, chilling, little web of mystery!

Yes, the truth definitely can hurt but lies hurt even more.

I like the way you end this up...like I want to know but would rather not but there's this damn need to know that I do not like....but you say it so much better than that.

I'm sorry you're going through something but I'll say it now and I've said it before, the pain can create some great poetry!

I can relate to this one on many levels.

"A new start by definition means that something is ending: the pains and lies and discrimination pass away leaving long dead dreams that rise to life like the bones of dead men."

This is somewhat a glance at my year. I like what you have posted.

Dear HS, it's elegant and structured beautifully. Subject, metre and language all melding to produce a strong and emotionally resonant poem.

One thing I can always guarantee when I read your work, it will make me think.
Yet again, such creativity crammed into the page.
I applaud you yet again.....and that is NO LIE!!

The truth DOES hurt and jackasses can't handle the truth.

Poignant writing. Keep it up.
