Bad Reflection

Contributed by 88_guy on Sunday, 18th May 2014 @ 02:21:48 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

I met a disturbed person one dark rainy night
Noticed he was emotionally broken as he began to let it all out
Some weird sensation filled me as I felt I knew what his story was about

I have never met this person a day in my life yet I know him as crazy as it sounds
I ask him, "Why do you sit reminding yourself of past destructive corruptions and lies"?
Do you enjoy reliving the past making lonely tears flow out your eyes"?

He turns and looks at me but it feels as if he is looking rite through me all while he smokes crystal meth
His eyes dilated an evil black as the drug is in affect
Skin pail white, Food and water he now rejects

I yell at him to stop using and to eat something before his body gives out
He then turns looking rite at me as sweat drips from his face
His voice deep as he speaks " Do you not understand this is not my but your cold case"?

He then pierces my eyes with his while I sit back in shock of the things he tells me
"You will never amount to anything in life; you are worthless in all your ways
Always ready to start but never finish you will be a nobody for all of your days"

"Need I remind you how you smoked your life away inviting me in
Your a lonely attention seeking freak time start this session
Just look round and see what you are; just my reflection

That's rite this is you but I am in control now you week mammal
You are this lost little boy seeking to be acknowledged but got ignored
Its your pathetic childhood memories I repeat that you keep stored

Let me tell you how this all went down as I prepared your body my vessel
Happy you were but I worked making you emotionally vulnerable and depressed
I hen served you alcohol and drugs to invoke self destruction putting your sole to rest

Pay attention to what I am about to show you since you act as if u don't remember who you are
just look, lying on the floor twitching and foaming at the mouth your body ready to lend
Satan's favorite deception; overdosing is his latest trend

Lost, alone and doubting your faith is the person I grew you to be
Your sole grows week as your reminded of past sorrows
Never even open your Bible always saying you will for sure tomorrow

I shout. Why did you choose to work me from my faith walking me to my death?
You did it to yourself, easily manipulated by the beast you've been
Just look down at yourself dying as you drown in your own choice of sin

Staring at what I have let myself suddenly become
I wonder, Does Jesus still love me or should I accept my fait and be done
I then hear loud and clear; "Drop everything and come to me as you are my Son"

Father forgive me for I am an abomination living a life full of sin
"Child, every past present and future sin has already been forgiven,
That's why I died on the cross and in three days have risen"

Stand up tall renew your faith and boost your knowledge in my word and fight courageously"
I then prepare myself for the battle and look rite into the enemy's eyes my mind now clear
I put on the full breast plate of knowledge and fight with the sword my tong using his word

speaking with Authority I shout" In the name of Jesus I command you to flee and never to return!
He then strikes with the memories that were the start of this great deception,
I resist so flee you will no loner cloud my perception

As the demon leaves he giggles saying hell be back with his brothers when I am emotionally vulnerable
little does he know I will be ready with stronger faith and increased knowledge in scripture
I will come to you with what he said get the picture

If you ever want to talk you can pm me anytime. Addiction is a lonely, treacherous road. Recovery is a never ending path of compassion, gratitude, and relentless honesty. Not necessarily for those who need it, but it is there for those who want it.

Great job getting this off your chest. A problem shared is a problem halved, right? ;) Keep reaching out.
