♥
it seems the wick is frayed
the flame just will not start
in palm of hand are laid
black purest works of art,
flame flaring insufficiency
spiritless lack of desire
inflammable thermicity
fuliginous apathetic fire!
no pale yellow primrose
sooty soot from the stars
sidereals of prehistoric haze
coloured as primordial tar.

pure poetry...
it lights my ash.
In the backroom where I
left it smoldering.
It was a guitar.
Thank you for this
wonderful ooze.
absolute 100 proof unlabled art.
Peace! |

An ash can only be washed away and then it starts anew. Very interesting and a tad complex for my poor brain cells.
Very artful, though. Me likes.

some burn bright, some flicker, some glow, ..our lights as different as we…woe to the would be flame with "spiritless lack of desire"! One day they will say over us...."ashes to ashes..dust to dust',
Perhaps we should burn while we may! Cast a blinding light..or fade to "primordial tar!"
An entertaining forewarning, Ladyfawn!
Nicely crafted!

Darker than your average sharing, but I hasten to add I like it quite a bit.
I hope whatever has occurred that would lend your mind to bend your hand to play it out and understand, has been (by this effort) laid to rest and put to bed; your angst expelled took flight and fled.
Best,
Invierno |

Oh Nessa, I love this piece... And I know this feeling so well. Heart wrenching to watch someone's light flicker out- our own, or a loved ones. Take care of you.
Beautifully abstract. Well done.

This is really good and quite beyond me. I think the ash is the left over stuff from when inspiration dies and we are left abandoned by it. I just hope that a few embers remain to spark creativity into flame once more and certainly this poem shows that your flame has not burned out. |

Well. This was inspired. Pure poetry!
Hopefully, your muse has pointed you to a more cheerful spot.
I had to snicker, though. I wondered how many readers scrambled for a dictionary? :-D;-) I had wrote once about a fulvous flame and the pm's came pouring in. Ah, sweet myteries of life!
Excellent. Simply excellent.
Thank you for sharing...
Moving portion finished,
