The Morning Dew Settles....

Contributed by RussellReinhardt on Saturday, 17th May 2014 @ 04:03:00 PM in AEST

2013:09:04....

The morning dew settles.
Glistening on a rose's petals.
Wonderful how God put it all together.
Nothing on earth is nether.
All of us equally created.
And through God we are all related.
Yet we treat each other with disregard.
Leaving our brethren scarred.
Do you truly think God is proud?
When we are boastful and loud.
Just as we leave a mark on a window so cold.
So too do our actions leave a mark on the soul.
Beware what you do and say.
For God did not create us to be that way.

RR

Wise words, there. I like this piece, Russell. Thanks for sharing. I always open your poems when I see your name. You've been kind to me in your comments and (ironically, given this poems message), I wish to visit consideration upon you in return.

Blessings,

Invierno

Russell, true like all you write I liked this.
I used to throw a rubber ball against the house quite obnoxiously, my mother tended that rose
lattice like her pride and joy, and I dismantled
it with my rubber toy.

Thanks for all your poems, as always,
your friend from northwest...

Peace!

I'm just saying if you are a believer in Jesus Christ and his teachings, then you attempt to also follow those teachings, or emulate his behavior.
