Title of Poem

Contributed by invierno on Saturday, 17th May 2014 @ 08:43:26 AM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Click.

A page appears.

Empty. White. Compliant.

Accepting anything I write
without complaint yielding
pure non-defiance

so nice this page, polite- silent
unfulfilled empty seat in need of pilot.

Should I pour my angst in
bits of bytes?
Not that again,
I've chewed enough
on pain and tears-
such dreary
stuff-
years of days.

No....this empty field,
in spite of me
demands I pull a different mood-
my mind commands requires
other food

less bitter
palate mind soul heart
again again to
start
to feel other ways-

new skies new days

Oh dear-
mandate failed
goal assailed yet unmet
this

bowl-
steep sides
still wet-
tears still
drip
smiles still
slip

masking the tape holding
frozen smile in
place until this fake
place
of cold steel
replaced

with real.

A merry roller coaster ride…Up, up, on a blank page with fresh palate..you bring us to the brink of hope with you, then slowly slip back down the mountain in despair. Shame on you for catching us off guard! :)
Now get thee back up that mountain 'cause we're all rooting for you! (If you can do it; perhaps so can we all?)

I wonder how many have been in the same situation. I know I have. Sometimes, despite the grandest of intentions and the absolute foreswearance against what was, it's just the same song with a different melody.
Excellent read. I tboroughly enjoyed this.
Thanks for sharing!

abs, brilliant, ee, ee, ee,
wow...

this reminds me I wouldn't ever say;

what it may mean to be
inside
of pride.
Peace!
