Shall I write of trees?
Predictabely they bend to breeze-
enslaved to earth by root and trunk-
rhymes redundancy,
poetic junk.
How bound they are, dictated path,
wind blows leaves dance,
first this then that?
Cause, effect, it's choking me-
even here I can't break free.
Line two by needs
must rhyme with four-
I'm sick of this, so just one more-
I dynamite conventions door.
Those trees I see?
I now release;
leaves I bid thee, go your way,
pay no mind to wind's demand,
Be still or not- Oh, how I laugh,
As if leaves would heed
my pens command.
Silly leaves, you have no choice-
you've no mind no will no voice-
Unlike me you be unvexed no chart,
No Hegel, Whitman, Kant or Sartre-
this consciousness, a heavy load,
this sentience sometimes
most foul abode.

i'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest
you sit under a tree for half a day with pen and
paper; for as surely as i'm breathing they will
whisper to you,
hugs n' love nessa |

I enjoyed your rebellion against rhyme and meter! "I dynamite conventions door!"
Yup! Rip it up!
"As if leaves would heed my pen's command"…
Oh, don't we wish. Convention was never the mother of ANYTHING! You profess rebellion for us all that we may experience in your write the dizzying headiness of a nosedive into freedom of expression san time worn rules!
