Spring Olympics 2014

Spring Olympics 2014

I know most of you do not know about these games
The participants usually generally have lesser known names
There is one contestant this year that I know quite well
Though her name I am not at liberty to tell

I will explain that her event is one that is important just like the rest
Though she had self-doubts, I knew that she would be the best
Seeing her at the starting line, I was as excited as could be
With the POP of the gun, she was quite the site to see

Flying to the first window removing the cardboard that covered it so well
Surging to the second and third, my heart began to swell
Capturing the attention of everyone in the crowd
There was not another, like me who was quite as proud

She moved with the speed and grace of a deer
I am blessed to have her friendship so near
With all of the cardboard gone she shines as bright as the sun
With her taking center stage on the podium high, she is number one

Thank you for your friendship, your faith and inspiration
