Hello I'm mother earth.
I've supported you from birth.
But look what you are doing to me.
Open your eyes please see.
Look at all the pollution.
Please look for a solution.
I can't sustain this I'm dying.
I beg you don't stop trying.
Plant more trees clean the air.
Soon oxygen will be a thing so rare.
Look up at the ozone.
How can you condone?
Factories emitting gas.
Floating in the sky like trash.
Crude drifting in the seas.
Killing fish dropping like dead trees.
So many species passed with time.
This is an awful crime.
Remember the Cape Lion?
No just a myth like Zion.
When will mankind learn.
Continue like this surely I will burn.

yes this disturbs me too, i always use canvas
bags; i hate the idea of all that plastic
everywhere, and if we ever buy six packs of
anything i always clip the plastic rings so
animals don't get their heads stuck in there,
and that black mane lion; he was pretty, i've
donated to rainforests, whatever i can do...
alas, the earth will outlive us all, we just won't
be around then, beautiful write,
hugs n' love nessa |

Hi Russell. Cool poem, my man...cool poem. I enjoy taking a non- human perspective and writing from it. It opens up doors to whole new planes of thought processes. I of course agree with your words. Sadly, there is an inevitability to our destruction....we are moths, and the earth is the flame. Fire is not harmful or destructive in and of itself, but only when messed with by biological creatures subject to its essence. Do you try any activist writing? I do, and I find it to be highly cathartic. pm for a link to some of my postings- I would be honoured to share some with you.
Blessings, Invierno |
