1 Question

Contributed by dvtpdw on Saturday, 10th May 2014 @ 10:59:28 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

When time's end is drawing near
What's the most we dare to fear?
Is it cessation of unseen tomorrows
Or that we leave unspoken sorrows?

Will you be a past best left forgotten
Or a present filled with loves begotten?
When the end doth call your name
What will be your claim in its fame?

Big message here! A perceptively thoughtful write! The question asked in your poem makes one ponder!

Thanks for sharing a nice write and thank you for reading & commenting on my poem "COLOURS EVERYWHERE".

Regards,
Zaf_Stud.

dvtpdw, a good question. I like the query and your initial exploration of this profound and age-old question.

I've read some of your other poems, and I know you have it in you to look at this in greater depth. I would like to see some refinement on this piece, and perhaps an answer from you on this question you've posed.

Thanks for sharing this. It has prompted me to ask the very same question. I operate under the premise I could drop dead at any moment, and with that in mind, I make sure (or give it my best shot anyway) to know that when I move on, there is nothing that will be discovered about me that will tarnish the memories of those I love. A clean hard drive, a drug free blood test....a book, when opened on my life that will make those that love me proud. By embracing this simple premise, I can sleep and not fear if my eyes don't reopen.

Blessings,

Invierno
