Echoes of the Past

Contributed by northernlights on Saturday, 10th May 2014 @ 02:17:05 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Words of their very nature unspeakable lay buried beneath years of

Being till with childlike trust in humanity they rise as springs and flow

From lips of quivering reluctance appearing as echoes of the past. The

Ebb and flow of bygone years a faceless form looking for identity in the

Furrows of pain, etched in those honourable moments of uttered truth before

Leaving.Shadows in time awoken from recesses darken corridors of recognition

Then Vanish.Wisdom turns the card of uncertainty and dwells till realisation throws it

Into the fire and all but the residue of choice is left.

"A faceless form looking for identity"..and then
"wisdom turns the card of uncertainty"..My two favorite line in this piece..
It is hard to rule out "with childlike trust in humanity they rise as springs"
In fact, it's hard to find any line lesser than another. Your work is rich with abstract imagery and as translucent as it's possible interpretations. Always a delight when you leave the context to the reader! We can all behold what we want to see! As close to ONE SIZE FITS ALL as can be!
Well crafted enjoyment!
