The smile hasn't left my face yet,
The words still ring in mind,
I always count the good things I get,
And of the best of things to happen to me recently,
This isn't far behind,
I was given something wonderful today,
Something others take for granted,
Some might get it and go about their day,
But I for one am absolutely grateful,
Grateful for the gift that I've been handed,
It might seem crazy that a little thing can be so splendid,
But somebody told me to have a nice day today,
And I think they actually meant it.

| I really enjoyed this! You proved that the simplest things can make or break a day. Even being told to have a nice day is a gift, something we should never take for granted! Excellent :) |

Rolling along...good but not great...liking, not loving...enjoying the state- the moment in time from your poem I take....concluding in thinking, this ain't half bad...then the zinger to end it....a gem to had!
