forsaken

---------------------------------------------
tonight, i came and read a poem
written years ago by a new poet,
he had lost his mom; his heart broken
not one person could be outspoken,

what would it have taken to show
some concern, this is how we learn,
my heart breaks for this young man
why to come back should he plan?

it angered me for not one had dared
to let him know that someone cared,
to leave a comment so that he knew
we poets do care if one is so blue,

he commented on others; did his part
whilst breaking of sadness in his heart,
a beautiful soul now no longer writes
this poet has gone off into the night,

tonight, i came and read a poem
written years ago by a new poet,
he had lost his mom; his heart broken
not one person could be outspoken.

Hello

Very good write and heartfelt sentiment. Yes even poets overlook each other from time to time. This however no excuse. What is the title of the poem you are referring to please?

Greetings
Rus

That's sad. :(

I am admittedly curious too. How long ago was this posted? The author, the title?

You have a huge heart, Nessa! ♥

This is a beautiful poem on a delicate subject. Your empathy transcends into the verses beautifully. And you are right it is such a shame. My thoughts and prayers are with the poet.

Hi Ladyfawn, It Is sad when you hear of such things, someone who needs help falls through the cracks. It doesn't take much just to drop by and say hello, to embrace another human being In their pain. I can understand your anger on this one. I sure know how devastated I was when my mother died. Have a good day. Catch you later. Your Friend always....MIKE.

Sadness....pain.....poetry does that sometimes...better than any other vehicle. You've captured it here in sublime fashion. As we go through life, I am coming around to the thought process we are here to help our fellow soul travellers. I wish I could say I do it every day, but I fall short as we all do., Sometimes when a person hides pain, we don't know of the help they need. thanks for writing this. It brought something out in me. For a moment there, I thought you were referring to my poem "Where are you going Child?" However, as I am still in this realm, this is obviously not the case. I do,. however, share the curiosity of others that posted here. What is the name of the poem that I may read it? Please reply to the comments here so we can all see it. Bless you, Nessa.

This is such a touching tribute to someone in need. I read their poem that you linked, and it is sad that it somehow went unnoticed for a time.

This is so excellent on many levels
the sadness of what u read
and
the value of commenting
to let someone know
we read their stuff
and
and feel for what they are experiencing........

Lack of commenting/reviewing is an issue for a lot of us who write for free. Sometimes people just can't find the right words.
