WHAT DEVILS BE OUT THERE?

Contributed by hray42 on Monday, 5th May 2014 @ 02:40:47 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

what devils be out there on this night?
out in the light of the calling moon
out to give to the heart a plentiful fright
so many at my window, so many so soon

for it has not yet struck for the midnight hour
i have only now donned my sleeping gown
the outside mist has turned into a shower
as raindrops of good size are coming down

these devils from a place i wish to not know
go on through the darkness to find the lonely
into the deepest recesses of the woods they will go
to stop at daylight, and daylight only

what is it they search for, and in whole desire?
what will make them come to a rest?
they do not dare to near close to my fire
so tonight, i think a full hearth to be best...

beautifully written, love this one, sort of like times
of old; wondering what's beyond the night's
home fires, i would add a lot of wood, and often,

hugs n' love nessa

Really cool. These devils....I think you know them...I think they are the devils inside you. We all have them. I could be wrong here. Doesn't matter- I like the poem alot.

Best,

Invierno
