I've my pen,
my paper too-
Chickens pecking,
the world, their loo.
Sun is settin',
Laying to bed-
Mother's curve
a sky to red.
Scratching feet,
they search for what?
Dipping beaks
in leaves and dust.
Precision so magnificent,
millimetres snag;
engineers would envy
the speed, the snap and grab.
Five seconds tops,
maybe six,
food found and swallowed,
beaking clicks.
The bond is strong
'twixt chicks and me,
true, felt more my end,
I'm paid no heed.
Rhodies how they love to feed,
Me? Component to their need.

We must all have spring chickens on our mind or something! I somehow got chickens and birds involved in my latest write too;) This is good!
This part made me laugh:
Chickens pecking,
the world, their loo.
Too funny!!
