Where are you going child?

Where are you going child?
Why are you so alone?
You’re standing in a field barren,
Other kids are home.
They’re eating mother’s cooking
Round a table filled with cheer.
You’re beneath the open sky-
Not a living soul is near.
While light dances in their eyes
From Daddy’s jokes, Momma’s sighs,
You look around your barren hell,
There’s no Mom to ring that dinner bell.
And while Daddy tucks them in tonight
With a kiss of love, then out the light,
It’s hard to see you so alone,
No Mom no Dad, no love no home.

Wow, really touching and full of emotion. I think it's beautiful when people can translate their hardships into writing so that others can truly feel with them.
Thank you

Hi invierno

Very beautiful amidst the sad. I had a mom and dad. Although I never lived with them I was under welfare care from the age of 6 months. So yes can relate to this somewhat. It's funny how this kind of life makes you ether appreciate what you have now or the flip side makes you hate life. I can tell just by reading some of your work you appreciate life. Grate write

Greetings
Rus

Heartbreaking to hear. I have so many thoughts on adoption; I won't bombard you with. In a nut shell I feel like the system is corrupt, and doesn't allow room for truly loving and dedicated people to adopt. It is catered towards certain classes. Anyway, enough about that. I am sorry that was your reality, and I imagine writing got you through many a difficult time. There is beauty in this poem you wrote, because it is an honest , bare-all write.

Thank you for sharing.

heartbreaking... and yet, now you see with eyes
you would not have had you not gone through
this, the time alone, contemplating life, the stars,
things, hopes, wishes, dreams,

hugs n' love nessa
