Moon For Two

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Saturday, 19th April 2014 @ 06:27:06 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

We share the moon with outer space
Dreaming of a familiar face
Belonging to another place

I took off my shades, all the better for you to see
I came back for you, so we could set each other free
This is your last chance, but will you take it with me?
When you change the lock, you must also change the key

We share the moon with outer space
Dreaming of a familiar face
All that matters is worth the chase

I love when you gasp and moan, and write a poem
Your technique, your tone, makes me feel right at home
Far away, yet never further than the closest phone
This intimate tango with your words I hope to hone

We share the moon with outer space
Dreaming of a familiar face
The face I love- I rest my case.

I love that you have a come-back phrase that keeps repeating..did you ever think of writing song lyrics? You certainly could! I rest my case!

Something in this reminded me of Virtuoso. Not sure why or what did, just that it did. I read it a few times already and the last time I thought of that poem.

This is so very poetic...uh, of course it is, I say to myself as I take a boot to the head, it's a poem after all. Perhaps the word I am really needing to use is metaphor.

Then I say to myself, metaphor...no, metaphoric!!! *slaps self*

So, then I remind myself, it also made me think of Devour and wonders why. It's because of this stanza:

I love when you gasp and moan, and write a poem
Your technique, your tone, makes me feel right at home
Far away, yet never further than the closest phone
This intimate tango with your words I hope to hone

So, in closing, after all the gibberish :p I'll finally say I really like this! The flowing of the words is perfect poetry! And yes, I agree with softerware and think it would work so very well in a song.

Thank you and the usual pleasantries are sent your way.

Hey, you, get offa my cloud!

Dam I am such a geek. You do know that sometimes a key fits more than one lock. Why that pops in my head, I don't know. Beautiful write LL

How perfect this is, I love the moon that we share.

We share the moon with outer space
Dreaming of a familiar face
All that matters is worth the chase

magical poety x

Some times I go to the fields nearby to look at the moon, its nice and quiet there, I am always in awe at the sheer beauty of the moon and all of the night sky, It helps me to relax and destress, I can be in the moment quietly contemplating my place in the universe.. visualising the things i want to happen or want to do that will benefit my spiritual growth and my higher self,
positive thinking basically, like a wish or a prayer,
Anyway im glad i found your poem, i really loved it x

Very intimate and heartfelt. I wanted to melt into this story. I could see myself in a meadow looking up into the sky and just watching it all happen. very serene. Loved reading this from you. very different tone than I am use to from you. Bravo
