15:04:2014....
On a donkey slowly coming to His fate.
He entered through Jerusalem's gate.
All who loved him laid down palms.
Singing and waving their arms.
He held his head up high.
Knowing His Father is in the sky.
He greeted them with a loving smile.
On to the last supper just one more mile.
Here he sat with His twelve Apostles.
Telling of the importance of the Gospel.
Judas, you will betray Me.
Please Lord that can not be.
And Peter, Me you will deny.
No Lord I won't lie.
Now we will break bread and take wine.
This is a symbol of My Body and blood Divine.
After supper He went down on His knee.
Please Lord don't they plead.
What I do now.
Is to teach you how.
To love one another true.
The way I love you.
Remember when I am gone.
You all must carry forward the song.
You must go out into the world.
Teach them of Me and My word.
For once this is done.
Yes then the end will come.
Early the next morn'.
Some time before dawn.
The high priests made their plans.
They were going to imprison the Son of man.
Jesus was bound.
They pushed him to the ground.
Dragged Him off to Pilate.
To meet his fate.
Pilate asked are you the king of the Jews?
It's you whom me accuse!
Then the priests bring more accusations.
Pilate is now running out of patience.
Will You not defend Yourself?
But Jesus would not pride Himself.
Amazed Pilate looked on.
He had never encountered a man so strong.
As custom predicts in that time.
A prisoner shall be released regardless of his crime.
Now the priests were stirring the crowd.
Getting them to chant very loud.
We want Barabbas they shouted.
Barabbas it seams you have been counted.
Wanting to please the mob.
Pilate did his job.
And the prisoner was released.
The people called for Jesus' crucifixion.
The high priests evil had become their addiction.
He was crowned with thorns.
The Son of man was scorned.
A cross was laid upon His back.
Blood flowing down His face and neck.
For what must have been immense agony.
And in this state He was lead off to Calvary.
Nails driven through His palms and feet.
Hanging there till death He did bleed.
Before Jesus succumbed to death.
As He let go of His last breath.
He cried out to the Father.
Why did you let them bring me to the slaughter.
Then darkness filled the sky.
People realised the priests lied.
But it was too late.
For Jesus met his fate.
Joseph pleaded by Pilate for the body of the Jesus.
We want to lay Him to rest.
Wrapped in cloth He was laid in a tomb.
Never to be exhumed.
They placed a giant rock at its entrance.
Very necessary in essence.
But to no avail.
The tomb would not be His jail.
The next day when Mary arrived.
An angel was there and said Jesus is alive.
Then Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene.
Right there at the tomb.
Then He heads of to a mountain in Galilee.
For the apostles He must see.
There is one more instruction that they need.
But first He sits with them to eat.
This proves to them that it's Him.
Filled with joy their hearts sing.
Go baptize every man woman and child.
From the cities right into the wild.
Then Jesus ascended to heaven.
Leaving behind the apostles all eleven.

If history could be taught like this, our kids would be getting "A"s!
Very well choreographed; and just in time for Easter.
THank you Russell. A pleasure to read.
