Take my silence for weakness
Whatever I had
I had it most when I was with you
There is little left to salvage
Disintegrated
I have been broken to pieces
Slowly unraveled
An onerous task
Picking oneself up
Talking oneself down
Relying on mind over gravity
As seemingly all the forces in the universe aim to subdue and immobilize
A daunting endeavor
Fighting against the prospects of never
Again being able to hold her
Acceptance demands it's pains
This is not simply a love lost
Rather a life tossed
Into disarray
Menacing forces claim their parts
Sectioned off slices of the heart
Most can be traced
Rooted in my twisted start
Despite my sins
Something beckons
Towards greener pastures
Where the earth gives life
From the soil
In the underbelly of creation
An eerie sensation
I come for a rebirth
Dig upwards from my deep hole
Crawl out from my own darkness
And there
I pray the angels guide me
I would like to ask for nothing but health ,love and family

Gorgeous poem! Very well written. Great subject, mood setter, flow, use of vocab...all good. Hope to see more! |

This is so beautiful and uplifting. I have read it many times. Perhaps it wasn't born from the brightest place, but it is planted firmly in possibility. I'm like a kid in a candy store when I'm immersed in your writes.
